(AMAS) staff
- Federal, State, County, prime contractor, and
private sponsor auditors
- Independent certified public accountants
2. What is Audit & Management Advisory Services
(AMAS)?
AMAS is an independent appraisal activity
established to help University management in the effective direction,
management, and completion of operating responsibilities through
independent audits and consultations. The department provides UCSD with an
ongoing evaluation of administrative programs, which takes into account
the limited resources available for all the things that UCSD does.
AMAS also provides management advisory services
and performs the external audit liaison function for the campus. All
audits conducted by outside agencies and entities are coordinated through
AMAS, except for the routine annual financial audit, which is coordinated
through the Controller’s Office.
The AMAS audit charter provides that audit has
full, free, and unrestricted access to University personnel and records.
You can help the internal audit department help you by providing them with
complete access to all University records and personnel.
